Creating a nursery can seem a daunting task! But with just a little thought a calm, relaxing nursery can be created with just a few carefully chosen pieces of furniture.
A New England Style Nursery does not compromise on style, and allows you to create a stylish room with furniture that will last for many years to come. A large chest of drawers such as the Maine Multi Drawer pictured right provides such a selection of drawers that it is ideal for baby’s clothes and accessories, but will continue to be the most useful chest of drawers as your child grows.
The Manhattan Double Wardrobe with Drawers is another clever choice for a New England Style Nursery. It is delivered with five internal shelves and two hanging rails, and so can be altered to suit your requirements as your child grows. Begin with using most – if not all of the shelves, and as you acquire more clothes that need to be hung simply remove the shelves as required. The three storage drawers are perfect for storing smaller items. Being white with stylish tongue and groove detail, this large piece of furniture does not impose as a large dark wardrobe would do.
Choose simple soft blues, pinks or your colour of choice in fabrics, curtains and pretty bunting to combine with the white furniture, and keep the walls simple white to create your a New England feel to your nursery. Add a comfortable upholstered chair for you, a simple white cot and perhaps a Manhattan Blanket Box to use as a large white Toy Box and your room is complete.
