White Toy Box

When decorating a nursery for the first time, choosing the colour schemes can be a daunting task. Should a nursery always be pink or blue, or perhaps a sunny yellow?

In our opinion, painting the nursery white is the answer. Choose white furniture, and your room is not immediately gender specific. a white room is not clinical, it is purely a blank canvas. A nursery can be tailored for a girl by the addition of “girlie” colours, be it pink, lilac, silver – whatever you choose. Pick bright toys and accessories to stimulate your child as they grow and develop.

White furniture can grow with a room too. A boy’s nursery could begin life with baby blue accents, but as it develops into a sportsman’s den or jungle playground, the white furniture will hold its own.

As your children grow and become more boisterous, another plus point of choosing well made white painted furniture will become very apparent to you… should it start to look a little war torn and aged, simply sand it down and repaint it, and it will again appear brand new!
