You raise a really good point with damage to rented property and the use of bookcases for display to negate the need for drilling etc; I especially liked your idea with the curtain rod.

		<description>I have been thinking about creative uses for bookcases lately now that I am graduated and soon moving into an apartment. Most renters cannot hang pictures or window treatments because it will put holes in the walls. Because I am an interior designer, I just can't live with bare walls or windows. My idea is to use tall narrow bookcases on either side of the window to hang the curtain rod in between. There are so many uses for bookcases other than to store books!</description>
