New England Lifestyle, New Hampshire.

One of our ranges of furniture, here at New England Lifestyle, is named after New Hampshire in New England. Named after the English County of Hampshire, New Hampshire became the first post colonial sovereign nation in the America’s when it broke away from Great Britain in January 1776 and one of the original 13 States that founded the United States of America 6 months later. New Hampshire is the first State to have it’s own State constitution. New Hampshire has no general sales tax nor is personal income (other than dividends and interest) taxed at state or local level.

License plates carry the state motto “Live free or die” and the state nickname is “The Granite State” referring to the geology and the tradition of self sufficiency.

Newcomers are suprised that New Hampshire has beaches. The short, saltwater coastlines are lush and lovely. The Granite State is a vacationland of rugged sporting activity. The magnificant White Mountains are home to every type of snowsports as well as summer festivals. Also in the mountains there is hiking, rafting and railway excursions. The Lakes Region offers water sports all year round including ice fishing during the winter. The climate in New Hampshire is humid with warm, humid summers and cold, wet winters… if you are planning a vacation, we can highly recommend a visit to New Hampshire!
