West Wittering Could Be Somewhere In New England.

One of my favourite place in the world is East Head at West Wittering West Sussex. East Head forms a spit that is part of Chichester Harbour with beautiful white sand dunes and that lovely long grass that grow through the sand. Whether it is a blustery winters day or beautiful summers day it is an amazing place to visit and just walk amongst the dunes or sit quietly enjoying the sea air and wonderful views.

I used to have a boat which I kept it at Littlehampton Marina and on a good day I would make the journey by boat around Selsey Bill and on to Chichester harbour. I would anchor my boat and wade to shore with a pick nick and spend the day sun bathing or walk over the dunes.

West Wittering always reminds me of a New England place’s like Cape Cod or Martha’s Vin Yard. I feel so grateful to live in such a beautiful part of this country with so many amazing places to visit. A lot of my inspiration for New England Lifestyle and white furniture comes from places like East Head beach with the faded beach huts and weathered wood paths and breakwaters.

White Furniture For Small Bedrooms

Small bedrooms are one of the biggest dilemmas we have and can cause such upheaval even to a point of people moving. I know because I have been in this situation. We have a lovely thirty’s home with beautiful sized room except for the 3rd bedroom!!! Why do they do this?

We have always painted our bedrooms white purely because its fresh and classic. Shelving and storage is always the problem particularly in children’s bedrooms so finding the right piece of white bedroom furniture especially when you don’t have much space is crucial. I cannot tell you how harrowing it has been to do this, finding something that wasn’t too young, too old, had plenty of storage and that would last!!!

We found it!!! I have been working here at New England Lifestyle for a little while and it was one Saturday when we had a lovely customer came into the showroom looking for the same thing as me. She had put two wall to wall shelves up like us displaying all their wonderful Lego models etc and needed a unique piece of furniture for storage that was unisex. She had bought bedroom furniture from us before and was very impressed with the quality of our white furniture made from lime wood.

We looked at the white bookcases in particular the Westport bookcase, which is amazing for storage as well as books but she preferred something that would conceal her child’s cloths and toys in one.

Then we almost both found it together…..The Maine Multi Drawer a large white seven draw chest of drawers… Thank you Mrs Dwell.

We also wanted a white bedside table with storage so decided to buy the Maine Bedside with Drawers,which has created a wonderful white bedroom for my son.

New England White Furniture

White is the most popular shades, fresh, clean, and the perfect backdrop for creating a wonderful interior. A white painted room, walls, window and floor is just the most in creditable space it creates a style and classic look right away. So whether you have a modern home or a classic Victorian or Georgian house white will bring it to life in a way you will not believe.

It always amazes me when people come to visit my house if they have never been there before…they are first quit shocked that everything is white from carpets to painted wooden floor boards. My living room is open plan with two beautiful white sofa’s, white scatter cushions and white cashmere throws.

A White Newport Coffee Table and white upholstered foot stool with large French windows over-looking the sea with spectacular views. In the dining part of my living room I have a New England Oak Dining Table with white legs, and six Newport White Dinning Chairs. My kitchen which is set back into the room and is all white with white stone worktops so it has a wonderful feeling of space amazing light and is so peaceful.

One of my friends said to me recently that my living room is like being in Heaven soft clean and pure. I have to say I always can’t wait to get home and walk into my wonderful white home which I adore.
