Our new range of white french style furniture includes a collection of very versatile pieces. The Louis Double Wardrobe, pictured right is really a large white armoire. With hand carved bow detail, it is an ideal white wardrobe for an elegant bedroom. Supplied with a hanging rail and three large removable shelves, this large white storage cupboard would also be well suited to a graceful dining room, and most useful storage for all glassware and crockery.

Other items in the range include the large white Louis Desk. A stand alone piece featuring hand carved legs, fluting and floral details, the desk has a total of nine storage drawers. This particular piece also doubles as the most elegant white dressing table… just add the Louis Dressing Table Mirror and you have created a very sophisticated dressing table setting that any lady would love to spend time sitting at.

The small white Louis Bedside Table is another very versatile piece. A compact bedside table featuring three storage drawers and echoing the hand carved design of the Louis Bed and other items of Louis Bedroom Furniture. English Summer Style Interior Design

White is such a versatile colour to choose when decorating a room. Create your white base, and then choose your accent shade to personalise your look.

Seasonal shades of green add a fresh feel to a room, helping to bring the outdoors in. Keep rooms fresh with a vibrant mix of pistachio, jade, fennel, lime and crisp, clean whites. Subtle tones of green will create a fresh and relaxing scheme.

White painted furniture combined with natural toned accessories help to create an elegant English Summer look. A white upholstered chair combined with white bedroom furniture immediately begins to soften a room, creating an environment that is very natural and easy to live with.

Spend a little time choosing your throws, cushions and window dressings to ensure your choice of colour shades harmonise well. Add floral details in simple pictures and fresh flowers, or perhaps a modern floral curtain fabric. Pick a colour detail from your curtain fabric to echo in the other soft furnishings, blending muted greens with delicate florals.

Look for interesting textures in throws and cushions for a cosy feel, and group candles to create a warming atmosphere. Add seasonal touches throughout the year such as a vase of lush green foliage, or vase of freshly cut sweet peas to keep your room seasonal and fresh.

Good Harbour House – New England Lifestyle in Norway!

Here at New England Lifestyle we have been closely following the development of Good Harbour House, a stunning Norwegian home that has been renovated by one of our customers to create a striking sanctuary that is available to rent all year round.

Good Harbour House is a very relaxing holiday home which comfortably accommodates seven people. Built in the nineteenth century, the house has recently been renovated to a very high standard and turned into a real Norwegian Retreat. With stunning views over the North Sea, the house has ample living space to enjoy the light and airy Norwegian summers, or in which to stay warm and snug in the winter months.

Good Harbour House is situated in the small hamlet of Vikra, at the south-western tip of the Norwegian island of Karmoy, just north of the slightly larger hamlet of Sandve and its fabulous beach Sandvesanden. The island has plenty to offer including The Viking Village at Avaldsnes, or strolling around the streets of Haugesund. The first week in July sees the Skudefestivalen, the largest gathering of coastal culture in Western Norway with boats of all categories: old wooden boats, vintage boats, modern boats, sailing boats and tall ships. Mid August sees the International Sildajazz festival, a five day event offering jazz and art exhibitions, one of the largest ever street parades and around 180 jazz concerts and events; whilst the end of August welcomes the Norwegian International Film Festival Haugesund.
